vom Hoff Kommunikation - 50 years of pioneering communication strategies


2020 was supposed to be a remarkable year for our Düsseldorf-based member vom Hoff Kommunikation. Because 2020 marks the 50-year anniversary of the boutique agency, which was founded by the father of today’s managing partner Kai vom Hoff in 1970. But the Covid-19 pandemic has hit Germany and all countries worldwide since the beginning of the year and made a jubilee celebration impossible.

Despite the challenging times, the agency continuously reinvents both itself and communications. The guiding claim: PR verändern. Pionier bleiben. (Change PR. Stay a pioneer.). In recent years, the team has extensively built up digital expertise and is now working on data analysis, social media management, websites, and interactive campaigns for numerous clients. Analog channels and measures such as employee magazines and stakeholder events are also still part of the agency’s portfolio. Strong analytic and strategic planning skills are the basis for both.

Vom Hoff also used this anniversary year to relaunch its website, modernize the agency’s logo and corporate identity, and invest in state-of-the-art digital equipment for the 15 employees and the office in the heart of Düsseldorf. And although the big party originally planned for clients, partners, suppliers, and employees has to be postponed due to the current situation, the team is optimistically looking forward to 2021. Eager to support existing and new clients with creative communication strategies and sharing best practices with fellow PRBI members.
